Fjellhaug International University College has issued a call for papers for a research symposium at their campus in Oslo, Norway, on 20-21 September 2023. This symposium aims to focus on the interrelations between Christian mission and religious freedom, both from a theological perspective, as well as from a human rights perspective.

Submissions of proposals are due by 1 June 2023.

The symposium is part of an ongoing institutional research project on “Religious Freedom and Religious Persecution” with contributors from various disciplines and research institutions.

The opening keynote speaker is Prof. Dr. Janet Epp Buckingham, editor of the International Journal for Religious Freedom and Director of IIRF in North America.

IIRF Senior Consultant Prof. Dr. Christof Sauer has assisted in conceptualizing the symposium and is among the plenary speakers.
